CCI Celebrates Annual Recognition Night  
 
  On February 19th, CCI Enterprises celebrated its 26th Annual Recognition Night with the community members, business partners, and service recipients whose dedicated efforts and achievements have helped to cultivate a world of success for people with disabilities during the last year. Held at the Gray Gables Estate in Milwaukie, Recognition Night provides CCI an opportunity to celebrate outstanding individuals and businesses who truly exemplify CCI’s mission and values.   Award recipients shared a common commitment to CCI and their colleagues.  Rico Stent received the On-Site Worker of  the Year Award and Darrell Zoesch received the Off-Site Worker of the Year Award, recognizing their   significant personal achievement on the job.  The Spirit of  CCI Awards were presented to individuals whose strength of character and cheery attitude add to the positive experience of their fellow participants.  This year those awards were given to John Farley in Vocational Services and to Cari Matthews in CCI’s Activities Toward Enrichment Services. Susan Libbey, an instructional assistant as CCI’s Activities Toward Enrichment program, was recognized as Staff Member of the Year for her commitment and dedication to CCI’s consumers. Olshen’s Bottle Supply, a division of Richards Packaging, received CCI’s Business Partner of the Year Award in appreciation of its ongoing support of people with disabilities.  Work contracts provided by Olshen’s have allowed CCI to provide work opportunities that allow CCI’s workers to gain skills and increase their self-sufficiency.  The Special Services Award was given to Easter Seals Oregon, whose valuable partnership with CCI has provided over 4200 hours of staff support by matching individuals in the Senior Community Services Employment Program with CCI’s labor needs. CCI's most prestigious recognition, the Londahl-Risley Award, was awarded to Ted Simpson, CCI’s vice-president and a Partner at Samuels Yoelin Kantor Seymour & Spinrad LLP law firm in Portland, OR.  Named after CCI’s founders, Polly Londahl and Sally Risley, this award recognizes an individual, a business or an organization whose efforts have had a significant impact on the lives of people with disabilities.   Ted has served in every board office, including three terms as the board’s president and multiple times as its vice-president. He has served on multiple board committees, ranging from the Executive and Stewardship Committees to the Resource Development and Community Relations Committee. A dedicated member of the CCI board for nearly a decade, Ted has played an integral role is the success and expansion of CCI Enterprises.  CCI congratulates all of its award recipients!!!
